Someone cons a 419'er into copying one of the Harry Potter books under the promise of payment.
I mean really, could it be any sweeter?
I have no idea how the company came up with Windows 7; by my count it should be at least Windows 19. Let's go over a few versions: Windows 1.0, Windows 2.0, Windows/286, Windows/386, Windows 3.0, Windows 3.1, Windows 3.11, Windows 95, Windows NT, Windows NT 3.5, Windows NT 4, Windows 98, Windows SE, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows CE, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. I guess calling it Windows 19 would indicate how they can't seem to get it right.

Very useful for tech trouble shooting information.
For Vista.

Tah Dah. I knew you'd be overjoyed to see me again. Thank you thank you thank you.
No really, thank you.
That's enough now.
Enough already.
SHUT IT
I get it, you missed me.
Quicker and easier for those on the fly moments. Pending home computing (yeah right, Telefonica *might* make it to install your phone line in 2009. If you're lucky) this will be the next phase of db on the web...
Good points are it's nice and easy RSS, and interface-wise as simple as clicking a link. Bad points (depending on ones' perspective of course) are that it eschews the personal touch in favour of the speed, to a degree. We'll see.
So, till further notice that's where you'll find me :)
Hmmph. So much for Orange WiFi.
Fatboy Slims' new song (Old new) is out - up on his myspace site - and the juggling entries have been shortlisted - check them out, they're worth it. I must say, I really like the direction FBS seems to be heading in at the moment - funky with an 'F' sort of thing; the last album was just fantastic. Vic keeps yelling at me to stop singing. "And the sign said, long-haired-freaky-people need-not-apply..." (Number 7 gets my vote, Number 9 reminds me of Craigs' juggling, and Hula Girl and number 1 are both very very well done. Bugger, so is number 10.)

Juggling Competition Shortlist Dear Friends |
This *has* to be the weirdest 'front page' rumour I've tripped over yet - JC perhaps falls off a horse in Portugal and pops his clogs? More likely he tried to run it over and so on...
It's not a stretch to consider the competition aspect of Top Gear getting into bed with horsepower for real, but still. Usually it's restricted to Captain Slow and the hamster on the public transport side of things! I did look at JC and worry when he did the Merc to (was it) Norway though - he was seriously knackered, and dare I say red-bull'd out.
It's out - get it fron here
I trip over some strange, strange things sometimes.
Sure looks like an evil wabbit to me.
" President Jimmy Carter and the "killer rabbit"
April 20th, 1979
On a fishing trip in Plains, Georgia, President Carter had an encounter with a "swamp rabbit". This seemingly trivial event was seized upon by the press and became a sort of Rorschach test of the Carter presidency: reporters and commentators saw in this story whatever they wanted to see in Carter's administration. Jody Powell, Carter's press secretary, described the affair in his 1986 book The Other Side of the Story: "
So what, exactly, is it all about?
Great article explaining that the translation of the numbers actually points to Neros' persecutionary tactics of the time...
Is persecutionary actually a word?
" He said the modern misuse of Revelation "is based on the misunderstanding that the message is primarily addressed to Christians of our time if they can decode the author's symbols. Rather, the meaning of the symbolism must be judged from the viewpoint of the 1st-century (churches)" which received John's letters. "
This is great - an AJC staffer gets a ride in one of the Blue Angels' F/A 18; with onboard video.
See how someone passes out - not once, three times - in some of the high G moments. His subsequent explanation whilst viewing his own actions is wonderfully self-deprecating - Me, I'd'a blown chunks at the vertical point as they went from nought to 3k feet in 3 seconds... ginger-laced gum or not!
